Nissan Connect update Data collection

Collecting update data from your Nissan Leaf Connect-type Audio/Navigation Unit starting with the original Japanese SD

card fitted (or a previous EVs Enhanced conversion)

Note: This method requires the original SD card to be in place. If the original card has been lost then an alternative method is required. Please contact your reseller for instructions on performing this method when the original SD card is missing. This procedure can only be completed with the AV unit fitted to the vehicle.

This process only applies to the following Connect Audio Navigation Units:

 

1. Power on the audio unit by pressing the car's on/off button while pressing the brake pedal (puts the car in ready mode). Select Info on the lower toolbar and then Ver. to access the audio unit information page (Ver. may not appear on this page. Press the right button on the edge of the screen to scroll pages )

2. Take a photo of the unit information screen.

  1. Next you will need to access the Nissan Connect Services section by pressing the Info button again on the lower toolbar followed by the button indicated below (Nissan Connect Services may not appear on this page. Press the right button on the edge of the screen to scroll pages)

4. Scroll down the list and select the indicated button below

5. Take a photo of the details shown on your unit.

6. Send both photos along with your details to your preferred EVs Enhanced reseller and indicate if you would like to image your own SD card and upload a key file (slightly technical) or have a fully prepared update card couriered to you (very easy).

 

What happens next?

Once we have this infomartion EVs Enhanced we create .key file, this paired with and SD card prepaired with the update image will enable you to simply follow the instructions and get your head unit set up and ready to go.

Option 1 - Slightly technical 

To prepair your own SD card please download the correct image for your vehicle. Please note these updates are loaded with North Island radio stations, if you are in the South Island please get in touch and we will send you the correct image.

Once you have the image downloaded to your computer you will need to correctly mount it to you SD card. The card must be 32GB or larger, we recommend using the factory one from the unit. To mount the SD card with the downloaded image file please use the Balena Etcher programme that can be downloaded for free here

Option 2 - Very Easy 

Purchase and SD card here and we will preload it and send it by courier to you. If you would like to use this method all you will need to do is insert the card you recive by courier and follow these setup instructions.
